Praise Guitar Lessons

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Praise guitar lessons should not be a chore but a joy! Playing guitar with friends and family, at church or on your own is a great pastime that has been passed through the generations. Learning to play guitar can be fun and exciting. If you do not know how to begin, here are some steps for you to take. Let the adventure into the music world begin!

Now, as a beginner you would need to start with tablature, which is the easiest to understand. If you are new to playing a guitar all the way around, then I would suggest finding someone local that can help you learn the basics. Once you learn how the guitar works and its basic functions then you can move on to the music aspect.

Online guitar courses are a good way of getting the training you need, in the time that YOU have, to invest. Make sure you take the necessary steps for the lessons you need. There are several websites that can get you on the way to praising God with your guitar. Price is probably you're first thought. Compare each price point before you make your decision. Take care in this process, so you will know if the price also goes well with the quality and support given for each lesson. There may be times when you need a helping hand on your guitar lessons. Speak with the person that put together these lessons, on the phone or in an e-mail. Find out if they are available for any questions you may have.

The last and most important of all is to have patience and the diligence to keep at it. There may be times when you have frustration over learning a chord, song or creating your own riff. Don't be discouraged and remember the reward you will have in the end. If you combine all these steps, you will be well on your way to a satisfying experience, learning to play the guitar.

How to Speed Up Your Computer in 3 Easy Ways

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Microsoft Windows tends to show a sluggish performance over time. The system takes abnormally long time to boot up and shut down. The response time taken for actions such as opening files and folders or browsing the internet also increases. A hardware upgrade is not always required to increase the speed of your computer; a bit of "spring cleaning" can also help. The following list gives 3 simple ways to speed up your computer.

Disk Cleanup

The Disk Cleanup utility of Microsoft Windows identifies files taking up unnecessary space in your hard drive, and lets you select them for deletion. A clutter-free hard drive shows an increased system performance, especially during internet surfing and burning CDs/DVDs. The various kinds of files scanned by this utility are temporary internet files, downloaded files like JAVA applets and ActiveX controls, windows temporary files (that usually get created during installation of programs) and even the Recycle Bin.

Defrag

The Disk Defragmenter tool is the "re-organization" tool of Microsoft Windows. When files are saved in the hard drive, they are usually fragmented in various small pieces and stored in a non-sequential arrangement within the hard drive. This makes accessing these files slower. The Defrag utility re-organizes all the files in the hard drive such that all fragments are brought together in the correct sequence, and the read/write time is reduced.

Clearing Unwanted Startup Items

Applications, such as games, word processors and media players, need enough RAM (operating memory) to run smoothly. This is one of the most critical resources of a computer and seriously deteriorates performance if overloaded. One of the most effective ways of freeing RAM is to remove all unnecessary startup files that get loaded into this operating memory when the computer starts. This increases both the performance speed as well as the boot-up speed.

A detailed walk-through of the above steps, and also several other ways in which you can speed up your computer, is available on eWisdomtv, in the form of how to videos. These how to videos on eWisdomtv provide a complete visual guide on boosting your system performance, in a manner that even non-technical people can easily follow.

Teach Yourself Guitar - Download Guitar Lessons

Image : http://www.flickr.com

No matter what you are looking for, there are many advantages to shopping online. The internet has become a great resource for just about anything we need. There is not a product or service that cannot be obtained online and usually for less money and with much less effort than conventional retail shopping.

When you want learn to play guitar, the internet is a lifesaver. Compared to finding a formal guitar instructor, setting up a schedule, and travel time to the instructor, online guitar lessons are a breeze. Not to mention the amount of money you save when you download guitar lessons.

Once you have decided to learn to play guitar, and if you have also decided to download guitar lessons, you need to figure out which type of program will work best for you. There are various types of programs and courses available. Some guitar lessons are totally downloaded, which means that everything you need is downloaded and stored on your computer. Other programs are a combination of downloaded lessons and materials that are sent to you, such as CD's, DVD's and workbooks.

Another benefit you receive when you download guitar lessons is the access to printed materials. You have the option of printing the materials that you need, or you can just read them from your monitor or laptop. Typically with private instruction you need to buy sheet music and many books, and your choices are dictated by the tastes of the instructor. There are just so many more options and choices online.

After you download guitar lessons, you have complete control on how much time you spend practicing and the ability to dedicate as much or as little time necessary on each step. When you learn to play guitar online, you set the pace. You also have the ability to pick from different styles, genres, and techniques. One of the good things about online guitar lessons is that even if you are undecided on the type of music that you would like to play, many programs offer free introductory lessons.

Free lessons are great, and you will see them offered all over the place online. However, there is an old saying, "You get what you pay for" and this holds true for guitar courses too. Free lessons are usually, no always, an enticement for you to sample a little bit of what the paid course is all about. All of the reputable programs offer them, but if you really want to learn to play guitar, you need to get the paid lessons. So, if you are serious about taking lessons, don't scrimp. The cost to download guitar lessons is not that much, and the benefits are more than worth it.

Acoustic Guitar Lessons - Common Mistakes

Image : http://www.flickr.com

There are many misconceptions regarding acoustic guitar lessons. I'm talking about both the free ones and the pricey ones. The one thing all guitar lessons have in common is the student. If you're reading this article you probably decided to teach yourself guitar, or at least considering it. I can go on and on about whether you should teach yourself guitar or get a professional tutor.

Moreover, I can say a lot about how to find the best course or tutor (see this link for a discussion on the subject). But what I'm going to do in this article is talk about the common mistakes guitar students have to pay their attention to when taking acoustic guitar lessons.

The first issue and a very important one is your physical state.

Surprising, no? What most students don't know is that their posture throughout their practice can (and lots of times will) cause damage to your spine, neck, shoulders or arms. A good tutor should give you advice regarding how to sit correctly and how to maintain a healthy posture throughout their practice, but it's up to the student to listen, and guess what: they usually don't

Sure, it will take some months of practicing before that damage is noticeable but you really don't want to get to that point. If you're teaching yourself guitar, be sure to take note of these important issue.

Second common mistake is playing too fast. Students always want to get to the point when they can consider themselves guitar players. But playing a certain song faster than you can, won't get you there.

You should always consider every aspect of your playing and strive to be able to focus on all those things while you play.

You need to get to a point where you can play one song perfectly, from beginning to end, at a very slow tempo, then you can begin increasing the tempo gradually. This way is easier to learn by far. But aside of being easier, this way is also much more fulfilling; you won't have the feeling of failure every time you fail to play a song at a fast tempo. Instead, you will feel good every time you play a song from beginning to end no matter what the tempo is.

The third mistake is not practicing every day. A lot of students think they can practice two/three hours a week and only at the weekend. This will get you nowhere fast...

You have to play every day, don't be lenient!

Playing every day, even if it's just for a half an hour, is definitely better than playing 3 hours one day and not touching the guitar for another week. You need to become perfectly familiar with the instrument and if you don't practice every day, you lose a lot of time just by repeating what you practiced last time.

To sum up:

If you have a tutor, listen to him! He knows your style and probably knows what's best for you more than anyone,

But take it from me, even don't have a tutor or an acoustic guitar lessons software: if you want to get the best out of your acoustic guitar lessons, avoid making these 3 mistakes.

Rock on!

Jeff

Fun and Easy Video Guitar Lessons

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Going to take music lessons is often the reason that many people do not learn to play any musical instrument. Many people would take guitar lessons if they didn't have to change their schedule on a weekly basis to do so. Now, with video guitar lessons, a person can take guitar lessons from great guitarists and learn how to play in the comfort of their home.

The lessons offer a set of lessons for a specific amount of money. But, if a person wants to take advantage of the benefits of the websites they can subscribe for a small monthly fee and have access to lessons from every genre of guitar that is on the site.

The genres are taught by the experts in that area of guitar. Billie Yates teaches Southern rock, Al Baca teaches bass guitar, there are hundreds of instructors and genres that have complete packages of guitar lessons available.

A beginner will learn to play easily when they are shown all of the techniques and methods for the genre of music they select. The courses are all designed for different skill levels. Whether the person is a kid, beginner, or advanced player, they will have an opportunity to learn and challenge themselves through the video guitar lessons presented.

A person has the choice of learning to play using their Internet or laptop. Or, they may get a DVD or CD and use the disks in their television. The enlarged screen provides more details that will help the student to learn finger placement faster. And, depending on the genre, a person will want to see how picking on the guitar is done up close.

Students can take lessons when they want. The courses are self paced. If a person needs to repeat a class several times, it is perfectly okay. The lessons are waiting and ready for the student. The person learning to play does not have to change their schedule or activities to learn to play from the best guitarists in the world.

If assistance or help in needed some of the website offer live-chat. Or, you can reach customer service through a tag system. With the tag system, a response is received with-in 24 hours of receipt.

There are many other benefits offered on the video guitar lessons site that a person will find are invaluable. The on-line mall offers items that are not available through other sources. Some of the pieces of equipment will be invaluable to the genre of guitar that a person is learning.

After completing the lessons in one genre, a person can start a new genre that interests them. The fun of the video guitar lessons websites is that they have a system in place for a person who is passionate about the guitar to be able to learn every genre easily, affordable, and in their own time frame.
